Balzi thinks that there are more painters coming up everyday and less people who really understand about art, and it is necessary that the artist himself dedicates some of his time to explain to the public the new codes,unless he doesn't want to remain even more isolated.
From l977 to l983 he teached Design and Art History at the Liceu Scientifico Italiano of Barcelona,Spain and from l987, back to Brazil he alternates his pictorial work with courses and conferencess ministered in private and public organizations.

As every year, he also ministers in his own studio an Art History course to a very special public who is far more interested in knowing the essential characteristics of each period, school or movement, directly from the artist. The course is illustrated with plenty of slides many of which realized by Balzi himself (with exclusive images, never shown on books before).He also uses musical and literary references (his sister is Beatriz Balzi, a well-known piano concertist).

What concerns to painting especifically, besides the workshop "Meninos de Arte"Balzi teaches young painters willing to perfeccionate their style helping everyone with plastic sensibility to find their personality. "Drawing is the original language of the human being", he says.
